Your life and your destiny truly are within your own control, no matter how hard others may grab for it or how long it feels like they have had control of you.  Taking it back may be hard, but to allow them to keep control is to at best turn yourself into their puppet.  That doesn’t mean you can’t still do sweet things or compromise for loved ones, but that you have to truly want to compromise with them rather than submit to their will just because they told you to.
