After a dream I had about my ex, I realized that I was thinking about her too much, so I wrote this song in an attempt to let go.  By this point, I believe I have&#8230;though I do still hope that she is doing well.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Last night, I had a dream!<br \/>\nParent&#8217;s car, you cuddled with me!<br \/>\nWhat color was the elephant in there again?<\/p>\n<p>Went to see my internet shrink,<br \/>\nTried to find out what they all think.<br \/>\nGuess you&#8217;ve been thinking of me quite a bit too&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Well, let me tell you how it&#8217;s been.<br \/>\nThese demons all around I&#8217;m trying to fend.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t trust my heart, can&#8217;t trust my head!<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t know what is true.<br \/>\nSpend a year in the manic and a half in a panic,<br \/>\nNow tell me what it does to you.<br \/>\nSeeking something more, I shoved you out the door.<br \/>\nWent to face what I thought I could.<br \/>\nAnd now I wear the affliction you bear!<br \/>\nYour haunted head!<\/p>\n<p>Do you remember our first date?<br \/>\nRoller coasters and the chicken we ate.<br \/>\nSpent the whole night home feeling nauseous and sick.<\/p>\n<p>Or maybe when times were sweet?<br \/>\nMall walking, flowers, something to eat.<br \/>\nA promise made by the comedy stage.<\/p>\n<p>Like all good things, it had to end.<br \/>\nLeaving me with wounds which just won&#8217;t mend!<\/p>\n<p>Remember the nights?  Remember the fights?<br \/>\nRemember the pain that fueled the flame!<br \/>\nRemember the punt?
